As we reflect on the past 24 years and look forward to celebrating our 25th Year Serving the Community in 2020, we gratefully think of all those who have helped the museum in so many ways now and in the past and say, THANK YOU! It is with your support the museum continues as a educational resource.

January 3rd : Winter Enrichment: 8am-12noon (drop off 7:30am) Build a Robot and have some Winter fun!
January 4th- Family Day: Family Day. 2 Adults and up-to 6 kids only $20!
January 4thJust for Kids: 10:30AM-noon. TBA Science Enrichment program for kids and parents.
January 6th -Kern County Science Alliance:7pm-9pm meets at the Buena Vista Museum.
January 8th – Reptile Club of Bakersfield: 7:00 PM Meets at the Buena Vista Museum
January 16th -$2 Day: All day, all ages only $2!
January 18th_ Presentation: “ROADSIDE GEOLOGY OF KERN COUNTY” 2:00PM Join local geologist Tim Elam.

Would you like to dig fossils? Then Join the museum team on a Paleontological Dig this fall, at the Quarries near Sharktooth hill. Choose a one day, two or a three-day Dig. Half day options available too. Click here for registration form Paleo Dig Reservation Form
