Paleo Digs at

Sharktooth Hill

The Miocene deposit at nearby Sharktooth Hill is one of the most significant marine fossil sites in the world! Many of BVM's specimens come from this location.

The 15 million year old Sharktooth Hill "bonebed" has a remarkable concentration of fossil specimens sometimes reaching up to several hundred specimens per cubic yard. It is also one of the most diverse, containing an extensive list of around 140 different vertebrate species as well as many invertebrates and plants.

Paleo Digs can be arranged through The Ernst Quarries. To find out more information about attending a paleo dig visit the The Ernst Quarries website at sharktoothhillproperty.com.
